Drawing his nickname from the street he grew up on in Lakewood, CA, Jared Alexander (a.k.a. OBISPOKID) became fascinated with the enchantment of film at a very young age. Inspired by the groundbreaking ingenuity of the filmmakers who’ve come before him, Jared sees film as an opportunity to showcase the limitless capabilities of the mind to convey his emotions and imagination into an art form. For Jared, film became a portal to another world where anything is possible, a canvas of the imagination, free from the constraints of society. Eager to share his vision with the world, Jared sought out the tools he felt necessary to hone his craft, and create his own visually unique style; investing in his own cameras and production materials and setting out to paint his first masterpiece on the silver screen.

    As a skilled camera operator as well as editor, Jared became the understudy of several renowned music video directors. While under their mentorship, Jared has had the opportunity to collaborate with a wide variety of artists including Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Rick Ross, the Game, Ne-Yo, T.I.,Tyrese Gibson and more. Initially making a name for himself in the world of music videos, Jared eventually transitioned into the world of film and television where he has spent the past several years honing his skills and becoming an even better filmmaker under the mentorship of other notable filmmakers including award winning director Catherine Hardwicke.
